Hi Cay,

Thank you for sharing this, and for highlighting such an important cause. My grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago, and watching his decline has been incredibly painful for our family. The support from organizations like the Alzheimer's Association is invaluable.

Last year, I participated in a Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in our town, and it was a deeply moving experience. It felt empowering to be surrounded by others who understand what we're going through and are committed to finding a cure. The sense of community and hope was palpable.

If you haven't joined a walk yet, I highly encourage you to find one near you. It's a meaningful way to contribute to the cause and connect with others who share the same struggle.

Let's keep fighting for a future without Alzheimer's.

Best,
Catherine

Hi Cay and Catherine,

Thank you both for sharing your experiences. Alzheimer's is such a heartbreaking disease, and it's been a tough journey for my family as well. My grandmother was diagnosed three years ago, and seeing her slowly slip away has been one of the most challenging things we've faced.

I joined a Walk to End Alzheimer's last year, and it was truly a moving experience. The solidarity and support from others who understand what you're going through were incredible. It felt like a beacon of hope amidst all the pain and struggle.

Participating in these walks not only helps raise funds for critical research but also builds a community of support. It’s a powerful reminder that we are not alone in this fight.

I highly encourage anyone who can to join a walk. It’s a meaningful way to honor our loved ones and contribute to the quest for a cure.

Let’s stay strong and keep supporting each other.W

arm regards,

Sydney

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for sharing your heartfelt experiences. Alzheimer's is a truly devastating illness, and it has also deeply affected my family. My mother was diagnosed two years ago, and every day brings new challenges.

I haven't participated in a Walk to End Alzheimer's yet, but after hearing your stories, I'm inspired to join one. The sense of community and shared purpose you’ve described is something I believe would be incredibly healing.

These walks are more than just fundraisers; they’re a way to unite us all in our shared fight against Alzheimer's. Knowing that we’re walking side by side with others who understand our journey brings a sense of solidarity and hope.

Thank you for encouraging us to get involved and support such an important cause. Together, we can make a difference and bring us closer to a future without Alzheimer's.

Warmest regards,
Sophia

Hello to Everyone!

Oh, the Alzheimer's journey—where the coffee pot occasionally gets stored in the fridge and you find the TV remote in the oven! Jokes aside, caregiving for someone with Alzheimer's is a rollercoaster of emotions, often requiring a blend of humor, patience, and a whole lot of love.

Thank you for sharing about the Walk to End Alzheimer's. What a fantastic way to contribute to a cause that touches so many of us personally! I’ve participated in past events, and each step taken feels like a small victory against the disease. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to meet others who understand the unique challenges we face—some might even have tips on preventing future remote control bake-offs!

I encourage everyone to lace up their sneakers, maybe pick a funky hat (because why not make it fun?), and join the walk. It’s a powerful experience, walking shoulder to shoulder with others who share this journey, all while contributing to critical research.

Has anyone else participated in these walks before? Would love to hear your experiences or see your photos. Maybe we can form a team—Team Forget-Me-Not, anyone?

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Best regards,

[Your Name]

I've participated in a few walks and even took my dog with me once.  Might as well get him out walking for the cause too, right?   (Check with each individual walk to see if pets are allowed.)

Along with the Walk to End ALZ, Alzheimer's Association (ALZ) also has biking for the cause (Ride to End ALZ) , flag-football games for women teams (RivALZ to End ALZ), and The Longest Day which let's anyone set up a fundraiser to help fund research.

Alzheimer's Association is one of the top organizations dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia.  They have numerous resources and are well worth checking out!
